Building an outdoor space reminiscent of a little coastal resort at home couldn’t have come at a better time for this young family just as Sydney plunged into covid lockdowns.
We created a coastal/Hamptons look and feel through a simple colour and materials palette featuring lots of white and natural materials such a timber (allowed to grey), stone and lots of lush broad leaf tropical plant varieties, such as Bangalow Palms and Elephant Ears which pop against the crisp colour palette.
To keep the area soft and to maximise greenery we steered away from a solid paved pool surround instead selecting to with large steppers embedded in Zoysia Sir Grange.
